The Tioga River, in north central Pennsylvania, is part of a massive watershed draining the Allegany Mountains into the Susquehanna River. During the 1800's, logs from Tioga Valley were floated down the Susquehanna to the shipyards in Baltimore. Two dams were built after Hurricane Agnes, creating Tioga and Hammond Lakes.
