Planting Fields in Oyster Bay, on Long Island's famed "Gold Coast", was the home of William and Mary Coe. Built in 1915, the 67 room Coe Hall sits on a 353 acre estate of beautifully designed gardens, woodland paths and greenhouses. It was donated to New York in 1949 to become a state park.
