In the Coeur d'Alene National Forest in Idaho's panhandle you can find winding rivers, crystal clear lakes and rugged mountains. Small towns, once centers for logging and mining, dot the country side. In 1910 the largest forest fire in U.S. history scorched 3 million acres in and around Wallace Idaho.
